Masters 2018: Predictions, Live Stream and TV Coverage Hub for Saturday
Patrick Reed has completed half the job, and as he takes a two-stroke lead into the third round of the Masters, the pressure begins to mount in the famed golf tournament.
Reed fired an impressive six under par 66 in the second round, and he is nine-under as he starts his moving-day round Saturday at the Masters. He has been superb to this point in the competition, but as the attention on Tiger Woods fades, the focus on Reed and some of the other golfers at the top of the scoreboard will mount.
Reed has not won a major in his career, and it will be difficult for him to maintain his consistency in the third and fourth rounds. As he looks behind him, Reed sees a virtual All-Star team of golfers who are going to attempt to chase him down.
Marc Leishman is two strokes back on the leaderboard at seven under par, while Henrik Stenson is five-under, and a pair of superstars in Rory McIlroy and Jordan Spieth are lurking at four-under.
The best strategy for Reed may be to not look back at those chasing him, and he has the confidence in his game to get the job done at Augusta National.
"Everyone wants to win, and if you don't believe you can win them, then you probably shouldn't be playing in them," Reed said, per Nick Pietruszkiewicz of ESPN.com. "I believe that if I play the golf that I know how to play, I can win majors."
Reed is scheduled to tee off at 3:30 p.m. ET, and he is paired with Leishman. Here's a look at all the tee times for moving day.

Dustin Johnson and Justin Thomas both had solid second rounds after ordinary showings during the first round. Johnson fired a four-under 68 while Thomas was a stroke better with a 67, and those two players may be prepared to unleash their best games during the third round.
Weather is expected to impact play during Saturday's third round, especially in the afternoon when the leaders are on the course. The Weather Channel is predicting rain throughout that part of the round.
If the weather is severe enough to postpone the finish on Saturday, it will require those players to get up early Sunday, complete the third round, and then wait several hours before starting the final round.
Neither Tiger Woods nor Phil Mickelson appears to be in a position to make a run at the Masters title over the weekend. Woods is four-over headed into the third round, while Mickelson is five over par. Woods had a difficult time hitting his irons with any consistency, and he also missed some birdie putts that would have changed his status. Mickelson shot a disappointing 79 in the second round after a promising 70 on Thursday.
Even though those players don't appear to be contenders, fans in attendance at the Augusta, Georgia, course will pay attention to them and hope that either or both can make a notable climb up the scoreboard.
Predictions
Reed is a talented performer who has been longing to show off his abilities on the big stage. While he has performed quite well at events like the Ryder Cup and other international team competitions, he has not played his best golf at any of the major tournaments.
That has changed through the first 36 holes of the Masters, but now he must contend with the pressure of leading the event on moving day. Reed is not going to fall apart, but it is unlikely that he will be able to match the 66 he shot on Friday.
Reed should face a severe challenge from Spieth, McIlroy, Johnson and Thomas. It would not be a shock if one or more of those players ties Reed or moves ahead at the 54-hole mark.
Johnson is the best golfer in the world when he is at the top of his game, and the expectation is that he will come through on Saturday.
Look for Johnson to wrestle a portion of the lead from Reed, and look for Thomas to get close as well. Here's how we see the leaderboard at the end of the third round:
1. Reed (tie)
1. Johnson
3. Thomas
4. McIlroy
5. Spieth
