Masters 2018: Early Betting Odds from Vegas for Entire Field
It's always fun to bet on sleepers to win a golf tournament, and it feels safe to pick one of the favorites, but the sweet spot on the odds ledger may be in the middle of those two categories.
The golfers in that level are too good to be considered sleepers, but they aren't on the same level as the top favorites. Still, the opportunity is there to take advantage of the situation and pick a golfer at excellent odds who could end up netting someone a big payout.
Below you can find notes on three golfers in the 25-1 to 40-1 range who fit that bill. You can also review the Masters odds (via OddsShark) as of Friday, March 30.
Note that these odds will be updated prior to the beginning of the tournament on Thursday as more bets roll in. Furthermore, a few late qualifiers need to be added to the odds ledger, most notably Ian Poulter following his win at the Houston Open on Sunday.

Masters Bets To Consider
Sergio Garcia: 25-1
Taking the 2017 Masters champion to repeat at 25-1 odds is enticing. Sure, it's very rare to see Masters champions repeat (Tiger Woods, Nick Faldo and Jack Nicklaus are the only three to have done so), but Garcia sets up well for Augusta National. He's first in the PGA in strokes gained tee to green, and this is despite a negative mark in shots around the green.
Garcia's approach game is second to none, though, and if that's on point yet again, then he's going to be difficult to beat.
The flip side is that Garcia's putting could be his Achilles heel, which has been the case numerous times in the past. The putter hasn't been great this year in particular, as Garcia ranks 129th on tour. However, putting won't matter as much if Garcia is routinely sticking his approach shots close to the pin.
Garcia has to contend with a dominant field, one that now has Dustin Johnson and Tiger Woods (both missed last year with injuries), but he can certainly win another green jacket.
Alexander Noren: 40-1
Alex Noren has one of the best all-around games in the world right now, as he is sixth in total strokes gained. The 35-year-old has parlayed his top form into some excellent 2018 results, notably third-place finishes at the WGC-Dell Match Play and the Honda Classic and second at the Farmers Insurance Open. His worst 2018 finish has been a still-respectable 36th.
Ultimately, Noren is dominating right now, and that could help overcome the main obstacle he faces. Notably, his 2017 Masters appearance marks his only time at Augusta (he missed the cut by one stroke). He doesn't have the experience that other players have gained over the years.
That may be part of the reason why Noren, who is ranked 15th in the Official World Golf Ranking, has 40-1 odds to win the tournament. That being said, this might be a time to take a shot at a Noren win here given the potential of an enticing payout. Ultimately, a bet on Noren is a bet on one of the game's hottest golfers.
Tommy Fleetwood: 40-1
The 27-year-old Tommy Fleetwood oddly has a lot of similarities to Noren.
Like Noren, Fleetwood is great tee to green, ranking fifth on the PGA Tour. Also like Noren, Fleetwood has been fantastic in 2018, winning the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and taking fourth in the Honda Classic. They're also both 40-1 to win it all.
This is where the similarities get a little weirder: Like Noren, Fleetwood has only been in the Masters once, a 2017 appearance where he was cut before the weekend. Even stranger: Both Noren and Fleetwood shot 74 on one day and 78 on the other day to finish out of the running.
But perhaps the experience both gained last year will be beneficial this time. At the least, Fleetwood can point to his success at the U.S. Open (an 11-under 277 for fourth place) as proof he can do very well on a big stage.
