Liverpool Transfer News: Latest on Lorenzo Pellegrini's Summer Exit Rumours
Italian outlets continue to link Lorenzo Pellegrini with a summer move to Liverpool despite the midfielder's insistence he wants to stay with AS Roma.
Corriere dello Sport (via TalkSport) launched the latest round of speculation, noting his release clause this summer means the Giallorossi will listen to offers of roughly £30 million.

Per TalkSport, he recently made it clear he has no intention of leaving, but those comments haven't silenced the rumour mill:
"It’s important for young players to want to grow and improve but I’m really happy at the club where I grew up.
"The objective of every player is to win trophies and like (Daniele) De Rossi and (Francesco) Totti have stated in the past, winning a Scudetto here would be the equivalent of winning ten elsewhere."
Other clubs have also been linked with Pellegrini, with Italian giants Juventus mentioned most of all. Gazzetta dello Sport (via Arjun Prandeep) looked at the release clause in more detail:
TransferMarketWeb (h/t Annie Eaves of Sport Witness) linked Manchester United with the 21-year-old earlier this season.
Pellegrini has emerged as a regular starter for Roma after a spell on loan at Sassuolo. The academy product had long been regarded as a star of the future, and he enjoyed the breakout season the Giallorossi hoped he would at the Mapei Stadium in 2016-17.
Here's a look at some of his highlights:
Already a full Italy international, Pellegrini has a versatile skill set that should play well with most teams. He mostly stands out for his passing and defensive tenacity, but he can also score and take set pieces.
While his movement is a little unorthodox at times, it actually works to Roma's advantage. Pellegrini can and will pop up all over the pitch, keeping defenders on their toes.
The youngster would be a fine addition for the Reds, but it's hard to see a scenario in which he decides to leave Rome this summer.

Like Daniele De Rossi and Francesco Totti before him, he's a player who was born and raised in the Italian capital, and he actually spent more time than either of those players in the club's academy.
Roma have a rich history of homegrown talent and will try to push Pellegrini into a similar career as De Rossi and Totti. He has always spoken in glowing terms of the duo, including these latest comments, and appears eager to follow in their footsteps.
If he did decide to move―he has the clause, after all, so Roma could do little to keep him―Juventus would likely be his preferred destination. Top Italian players have a tendency to stay on the peninsula rather than risk a foreign adventure.
