Arsenal No. 1 Petr Cech Insists He Can Win Premier League Title with the Gunners
Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech still believes he can win the Premier League title with the Gunners, the main goal he has had since joining the club from Chelsea in 2015.
The 35-year-old also revealed he was drawn to joining Arsenal to try to help them win the UEFA Champions League for the first time, per the BBC's Premier League Show (via the Mirror's Thomas Bristow):
"The main decision was the challenge of bringing back the title. We have never won the Champions League as Arsenal Football Club. That was another part. I won everything with Chelsea, why not try do the same with Arsenal.

"That was my motivation and it still is. Every day I go to work and do my best because I believe it is achievable."
Arsenal's last Premier League title came in 2004.

Since then, Cech has spent 11 seasons at Stamford Bridge and won four Premier League titles and a Champions League, among numerous other trophies.
The former Czech Republic international joined Arsenal for £10 million in June 2015 after he had lost the No. 1 spot at Stamford Bridge to Thibaut Courtois.
In his time at the Emirates Stadium he has won one FA Cup and finished 10 points off top spot in the Premier League in 2015-16 and 18 from the summit last term.
With eight games to go in 2017-18 Arsenal sit sixth in the English top flight, a whopping 33 points behind leaders Manchester City.
Per the Premier League Show, Cech does not believe the gap is truly representative:
But it seems clear that Arsenal have gone backwards while Cech has been at the club.
Unless they win the UEFA Europa League this term it looks inevitable that Arsenal will spend another season without Champions League football in 2018-19.
It also seems unlikely Arsenal will be able to bridge the gap in quality between them and City in order to make a genuine title challenge next term.
Cech is no longer at his peak, and with his 36th birthday approaching in May he likely only has one or two more seasons left in him playing as Arsenal's No. 1.
There seems little prospect that Arsenal will dramatically turn their fortunes around and win the title before Cech calls it a day, despite his optimism.
