Monaco's Fabinho Reportedly 'Very Close' to Paris Saint-Germain Move
Monaco midfielder Fabinho is reportedly a key summer target for Paris Saint-Germain as they look to bolster their squad following more UEFA Champions League disappointment in 2017-18.
The Brazil international was "on the brink" of moving to PSG last summer and is "very close" to sealing a transfer to the Parc des Princes, per Olivier Tallaron of Canal + (via Calciomercato.com).
According to the report, PSG are eager to sign Fabinho before the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia this summer because they fear his value could increase significantly if he has a good tournament.

Fabinho, who has long been linked with Manchester United, made a permanent move to the Stade Louis II in 2015 after two seasons on loan at the Monegasque club from Rio Ave.
His profile has grown under manager Leonardo Jardim, as he has made a successful conversion from right-back to defensive midfielder, and he played a key role as Monaco won Ligue 1 last season.
However, Fabinho looks set for the exit door, with a move to PSG looming.
He is one of Ligue 1's most accomplished deep-lying midfield players, boasting fine distribution skills and excellent defensive acumen, per WhoScored.com:
A return of six goals and three assists in Ligue 1 this term also shows he can contribute in attack.
PSG need to add solidity to their engine room. Adrien Rabiot and Marco Verratti are both talented but continue to be inconsistent.
In the first leg of PSG's last-16 Champions League tie with Real Madrid in February, manager Unai Emery fielded 21-year-old Giovani Lo Celso as a makeshift defensive midfielder, which backfired.
The French giants were beaten 5-2 on aggregate by Los Blancos, yet again failing to make a tilt at the Champions League.
Fabinho would provide a solidity, composure and consistency in the middle of the park that PSG still lack despite their lavish spending over the past few years.
