Manchester City Transfer News: Sky Blues Linked with Neymar in Latest Rumours
Manchester City have been added to the list of teams reportedly interested should Neymar leave Paris Saint-Germain, but Real Madrid remain the favourites in the chase.
According to Catalan outlet Mundo Deportivo (h/t Football Spy, for the Mirror), the Brazilian is open to the idea of working with Sky Blues manager Pep Guardiola, and he is a fan of the Premier League.
Per the same report (via Sky Sports) rivals Manchester United are also interested, but PSG still have no intention of selling.

Transfer speculation involving the 25-year-old has been constant since he moved to France, as the Spanish press has been relentless in linking him with Real. As you can see in the video below, the rumours are nothing new for Neymar, who has attracted controversy for years:
Per the report, Neymar is said to be unhappy in France, and similar rumours have been popping up for some time now. There have also been a handful of incidents with team-mate Edinson Cavani, leading to boos from the fans earlier this year, per Canal+ (via Goal's Jamie Smith).
PSG's UEFA Champions League exit and Neymar's injury and return to Brazil have only added to the speculation, which has kicked up in the past two weeks, per Eurosport UK:
City's supposed interest shouldn't come as a surprise, as the Premier League leaders are part of a select group of clubs that could afford the former Barcelona man. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the owner of the holding company in charge of City, hasn't shied away from spending huge sums of money to achieve sporting success.
But a summer transfer still seems unlikely at best. Like City, PSG have deep pockets and Middle Eastern owners who have shown a willingness to spend incredible amounts of money.
Oryx Qatar Sports Investments are working hard at establishing PSG as one of the top destinations for footballers in the world, and they will not want to lose their most marketable athlete after just one season. Neymar may not be happy in Paris, but he signed a long-term contract the club will not be afraid to enforce.
Football writer Ben Hayward doesn't believe Neymar will leave after one season:
City don't need attacking reinforcements―they've scored more goals in the Premier League than anyone else, by a double-digit margin―but will keep an eye on the situation nonetheless.
If a bidding war does ensure, the Sky Blues will likely be a part of it, whether it's this summer or at some point in the future.
