Wendell Carter Jr.'s mother, Kylia Carter, told Bridget Condon of ABC11 WTVD that a Rhode Island fan called her a b---h during Saturday's Men's Division I NCAA tournament matchup between the Duke Blue Devils and Rhode Island Rams:

I spoke with Wendell Carter Jr.’s mom at halftime to get her perception of what happened with the #URI fans. #MarchMadness #NCAATournament #URIvsDuke #ABC11 *warning some explicit language* https://t.co/oTE8aIhb3i

In the video, Carter said she vocally disagreed with a call the referee made before Rhode Island fans began heckling her and called her a vulgar word. She said security then escorted the men away and Duke fans offered her a seat closer to the court near the Blue Devils' traveling party.
