Kansas State is nearing a $12 million settlement with former basketball coach Jerome Tang.
He would have been owed $18.7 million had he been fired without cause. Both sides can begin to move on ahead of the 2026-27 season

Jerome Tang never filed a lawsuit against K-State, but both sides have been working behind the scenes on a settlement. The end is in sight.

I was hoping K-State could get it under $10 million or less. That would have been a major win for the program. Unfortunately, the donors and Gene Taylor dug an insane hole and frankly, they're lucky to get out of it at this.
The Tang era is officially dead. Good riddance.
