Report: Biggest Spenders in Men's CBB 🤑
Most years, it's tempting to go with two recognizable blue bloods in Duke or North Carolina, who take the No. 2 seeds in their regions. Head-to-head, the two programs put together must-see matchups throughout the year. Will we see the Tar Heels and Blue Devils compete for the ultimate prize?
How many No. 1 seeds, if any, will make it to San Antonio, Texas?
Let's go through the Final Four matchups and project a national champion.
Final Four Picks: No. 4 Arizona over No. 4 Gonzaga

Despite the FBI probe clouding men's college basketball and specific mentions involving Arizona head coach Sean Miller, his players went out and performed at a high level during the Pac-12 tournament, winning each game by a double-digit margin.
Sure, it's not a strong conference, but the players managed to block out the chatter and focus on basketball. It certainly showed in the results. Arizona lands in the South Region with the top two defenses in points allowed across the country in Virginia and Cincinnati.
However, neither program will have enough scoring down the stretch or a plan to limit DeAndre Ayton once he figures out how to attack the defense.
In a matchup between No. 4 seeds, Arizona has two big bodies to challenge Gonzaga on the boards. Dusan Ristic, along with Ayton, will overwhelm the Bulldogs without their 7-footers from the previous year.
Gonzaga head coach Mark Few returns to the Final Four but falls short against a team riding a late-season confidence boost.
Final Four Picks: No. 1 Villanova over No. 1 Kansas

The East and Midwest Regions will produce No. 1 seeds for a showdown in San Antonio.
Villanova won't receive much love as a top team in the field due to their reliance on three-point shooting. It's a logical knock on the Big East champions. One off night could send the Wildcats home.
However, head coach Jay Wright's team has developed toughness as winners in three overtime contests over the past six outings. Providence gave its best shot in the Big East title game and lost by 10 in the extra period. Villanova has an experienced group that possesses above-average mental fortitude.
On the other hand, it's difficult to trust Kansas. Why? A No. 1 seed doesn't translate to a deep run in the tournament for the Jayhawks, per ESPN Stats & Info:
There's skepticism pushing Kansas this deep into the bracket in a tough Midwest Region with Michigan State and Duke. However, it's hard to discount the Jayhawks' offensive flow until they match up with Villanova.
National Title Matchup: No. 1 Villanova over No. 4 Arizona

In a battle between Wildcats, Arizona will put the best player on the court, but Villanova prevails with the better overall team. Miller doesn't have the personnel that is capable of stifling a plethora of shooters.
An off night for Jalen Brunson could turn into Mikal Bridges' best outing. Sophomore guard Donte DiVincenzo could put his team over the top with timely contributions off the bench. If Arizona experiences any lapses on defense, Villanova will take advantage.
On the other end, head coach Jay Wright's plan in attacking the glass will play a crucial role in coming away with the victory. Omari Spellman and Bridges would have to make a concerted effort to get their hands dirty in the paint to challenge Arizona's height near the basket.
Barring a collective bad shooting night, Villanova rides its offensive firepower to a second national title in three years.
