PSG Transfer News: Ryan Sessegnon Reportedly Targeted amid Alex Sandro Rumours
Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly ready to take on the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur as they raise interest in Fulham's Ryan Sessegnon, although Juventus left-back Alex Sandro is still a target.
Sessegnon, 17, and Sandro, 27, are each among the chief candidates to improve PSG's options at left-back, according to French newspaper L'Equipe (h/t TalkSport), with the latter set to become the subject of a big offer.
But the Fulham youngster may not be enamoured with the idea of reverting to defence full-time should PSG come calling, considering many of his best performances this season have come in a more advanced wing role.

It wasn't long ago Sessegnon impressed as a defender at Craven Cottage, but he's since come to thrive as a more attacking asset, and OptaJoe recently illustrated how his talent may be wasted were he to return to left-back permanently:
PSG manager Unai Emery has Layvin Kurzawa and Yuri Berchiche as his two most prominent left-backs, while Neymar patrols the left wing and has the likes of Julian Draxler as back-up.
It's difficult to envision where Sessegnon would fit in among that crowd were he to move to the Parc des Princes, although Alex Harris of the Daily Express joked of the uncapped Englishman's abilities:
At 17 years of age, the next move in Sessegnon's career could have a major impact on the rest of his playing days, and so a move to join the giants of Paris may not be wise when England's giants are interested.
TalkSport noted interest from the likes of United, Chelsea and Spurs, and his prolific scoring rate in the Championship at such a young age doesn't leave many questions as to why:
Sandro would be a more ready capture from Turin, given he already boasts UEFA Champions League experience with Juventus and would join a strong Brazilian contingent in France's capital if he moved.
But the potential is there for all to see in Sessegnon's case, and Arsenal legend Ian Wright recently appeared on BBC 5 live Sport, where he praised the teenager:
Much like Gareth Bale before him, it seems Sessegnon's days as a left-back could be behind him, although he has retreated back into that role for Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic when requested.
PSG may struggle to compete with their Premier League competition if they plan to field the youngster primarily in that position, with his performances this term proving he's got more to offer further up the field.
