For those familiar with the celebrity proceedings over the years, the addition of Bieber is a big deal.
Back in 2011, he didn't have any problems reeling in some individual hardware:
Bieber adds to an already strong Team Lakers squad featuring heavyweight names such as Nick Cannon and Caleb McLaughlin from Stranger Things. NBA great Tracy McGrady will pitch in by helping out head coach Rachel Nichols.
Quavo also joins a stacked-looking roster. Team Clippers not only has Jamie Foxx but also a pair of former MVP winners of their own thanks to NBA impersonator Brandon Armstrong and Win Butler of Arcade Fire. Like the opposition, NBA great Paul Pierce will help out head coach Katie Nolan.
This game might come down strictly to long-range shooting, though. We know it's going to be a high-scoring affair either way, but the implementation of the four-point line in the second half changes things in a big way.
That line is called "The Ridge" thanks to game sponsor Ruffles and its second-half appearance is dubbed the "4-for-4 Challenge," which will see money donated to the Thurgood Marshall College Fund for conversions from four-point range.
On paper, it's hard to ignore the sheer talent of Team Clippers when it comes to prediction time.
The team not only has Pierce in an assistant role, it has last year's MVP in Armstrong, who posted 16 points and 15 rebounds in a win. It also has Butler, who has a double-double at this event in consecutive years, including 22 points and 11 rebounds a year ago.
While Bieber has shown off some flashy range in the past, Team Clippers has a pair of guys who can carry games on their own. They'll both chip in over the course of this one, pulling away once the innovative four-point line makes an appearance.
Prediction: Team Clippers 89, Team Lakers 80
