Marouane Fellaini Reportedly Set to Snub Manchester United for PSG This Summer
Marouane Fellaini is reportedly set to join Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer from Manchester United this summer.
According to French outlet Le 10 Sport (h/t the Mirror), PSG—who have been able to talk to Fellaini since January as his contract at Old Trafford is up at the end of the season—have a deal worth £100,000 per week ready for the Belgian.
Despite manager Jose Mourinho's hope of convincing Fellaini to stay put, the player "has his heart set" on a move to Paris.

The 30-year-old has spent much of this season out injured, and he has been on the sidelines since having knee surgery following his seven-minute cameo against Tottenham Hotspur at the end of January.
While Fellaini has never convinced fans and pundits he possesses the quality required of a United player, he has proved useful to the team on a number of occasions since he arrived in 2013.
He has been particularly effective for Mourinho, who has made use of Fellaini's height and physicality to make him a disruptive influence over the opposition.
ESPN's Alex Shaw understands why United want to tie him down on a new contract, but with the 30-year-old having proved reluctant to put pen to paper at Old Trafford, he believes it's time to let him go:
Football writer Liam Canning echoed a similar sentiment:
Getting nothing for him is hardly ideal, but his departure will open up a place in the squad that could be filled by a more dynamic presence who could improve the standard and effectiveness of the side's football.
As for PSG, he would be something of a strange acquisition, particularly given the situation they find themselves in. Football writer Tom Williams summarised it after their exit from the UEFA Champions League at the hands of Real Madrid on Tuesday:
The only sense he would make is that as a free transfer, PSG would acquire a player who can aid in their domestic efforts without prompting financial fair play concerns.
However, that would likely be the extent of his usefulness. Les Parisiens' primary focus should be on players who can elevate them to European success—through not only their individual talent but their ability to make the team a more cohesive unit—and Fellaini is not a player who meets that criteria.
