Monday Preview
In the long-track speedskating event, there will be a determination accompanying the Netherlands' Ireen Wust, who missed out on gold by just 0.08 seconds at 3,000 metres.
Wust appeared to be in control before a poor last lap allowed compatriot Carlijn Achtereekte to take top spot. It was an agonising way to lose grasp of a gold medal.
"I went really well," Wust said afterwards, per Reuters (h/t SBS). "Only the last lap was really hard. In the end, I was so close, but it's not good enough. I have to be satisfied with the silver, although it hurts a little bit."

Wust also won silver in the 1,500 metres in Sochi, Russia, four years ago. Antoinette De Jong, who finished in bronze in the 3,000 metres, will also be in action on Monday as the Netherlands chase another clean sweep of the podium places.
In the 10-kilometre biathlon pursuit, Germany's Laura Dahlmeier will be hoping to double up, as she won the 7.5-kilometre sprint on Saturday.
She was the dominant force in that event, with more than 24 seconds between her and her nearest competitor, Norway's Marte Olsbu. Given the stranglehold Dahlmeier has had on the biathlon in recent months, it's tough to see anyone getting the better of her on Monday.
As the IBU World Cup Twitter account noted, she managed to find a way to win on Saturday without being at her best:
In the men's 12.5-kilometre event, there's set to be an absorbing battle. Martin Fourcade is the favourite despite his and fellow expected front-runner Johannes Thingnes Boe's struggles in the sprint event on Sunday.
The ski jump will also give viewers their first glimpse of Maren Lundby, who has dominated the World Cup event in the buildup to the Games, with six wins from 10. As the Associated Press noted, she's also come out on top in two training runs at the Alpensia Ski Jumping Center (h/t NBC Olympics).
