Olympic Freestyle Skiing Schedule 2018: Live Stream for Women's Moguls

Gianni VerschuerenFeb 10, 2018

Canada's Chloe Dufour-Lapointe will have to dig deep in the second qualifying session of the women's moguls freestyle skiing on Sunday or the defending silver medalist could miss out on the final of the event at the 2018 Winter Olympics altogether.

Her sister and Olympic champion Justine Dufour-Lapointe managed fourth place in qualifiers on Friday in Pyeongchang, South Korea, but Chloe did not finish in the top 10, with France's Perrine Laffont taking top honors ahead of Canada's Andi Naude.

The second qualifying round will start on Sunday at 5:30 a.m. ET, with the first of three final sessions kicking off at 7 a.m. ET. Links for the streams can be found here and here, via NBC.

Laffont blew past the competition in the turns section and held off Naude overall by a slim margin, finishing with a score of 79.72 compared to 79.60.

The French star finished last year's World Cup in second place and is ranked third in this year's edition―she's as consistent as they come and will like her chances of breaking up the Canadian dominance in the event.

The Dufour-Lapointe sisters entered the event among the favorites after their one-two finish in 2014, and CBC Olympics reminded fans there's a third Canadian contender among the top performers:

Naude trails only Jaelin Kauf in the current World Cup standings and has three podiums this season already, but she's still waiting for her first win.

OddsShark has United States' Kauf as the favorite for the gold thanks to her blazing speed, and she put it to good use in the first qualifying run, even if her total score left her more than two points out of first place.

Compatriot Morgan Schild also qualified, bagging the third-highest score thanks to some fantastic work in the air:

The field for the final is already deep and talented, and most expect Chloe Dufour-Lapointe to recover from her poor showing on Friday to join the pack as well.

With so many top skiers vying for gold, experience could make all the difference―in that case, the Canadians should still be backed after their great showing four years ago.
