Point Guards

1.  Chris Paul—No explanation needed here.
2.  Dwayne Wade—If he can stay healthy, he’s nearly as nasty as CP3 or LBJ.
3.  Deron Williams—Will only get better this year.
4.  Brandon Roy—Does it all.  Scoring should go up even more with Andre Miller creating.
5.  Chauncey Billups—Should be even better in a full year with Denver.
6.  Steve Nash—The old guy still has some gas in the tank.
7.  Jason Kidd—Ditto.
8.  Jose Calderon—One of the game’s best passers.
9.  Joe Johnson—Does it all.
10.  Rajon Rondo—Does it all, but maturity is in question.
11.  Derrick Rose—Will blossom this year.
12.  Tony Parker—Still one of the hardest players to stay in front of.
13.  Monta Ellis—Can score in bunches.
14.  Devin Harris—Should continue to make a name for himself.
15.  Baron Davis—Health is always an issue, but he can ball.

DENVER NUGGETS VS GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS, NBA

1.  Dwayne Wade—Qualifies at PG or SG.  Is devastating at either spot.
2.  Kobe Bryant—Could be No. 1 if he wanted to, but is playing more team basketball.
3.  Kevin Durant—This is the year he truly turns into a mega star.
4.  Danny Granger—Does it all.
5.  Brandon Roy—Combo guard is silky smooth.
6.  Andre Iguodala—Versatile young swing man.
7.  Joe Johnson—Another do everything  Guard.
8.  Kevin Martin—Scores at will.
9.  Paul Pierce—Aging, but still rock solid.
10.  Caron Butler—Health is an issue, but can flat out play.
11.  John Salmons—With Gordon gone, should be huge for the Bulls.
12.  Monta Ellis—Can do it all when healthy.
13.  Vince Carter—Will be asked to do less in Orlando.
14.  Jason Richardson—Can still score with the best of them.
15.  Stephen Jackson—Attitude is his only question mark.

1.  LeBron James—It doesn’t get much easier than this pick.
2.  Kevin Durant—Primed to explode this season.
3.  Danny Granger—His three-point ability sets him apart.
4.  Andre Iguodala—He does a bit of everything.
5.  Carmelo Anthony—Really stepped up his overall game last year.
6.  Rashard Lewis—Killer behind the arc.
7.  Paul Pierce—Still helps out in multiple categories.
8.  Josh Smith—If only his FT percentage wasn’t so bad.
9.  Caron Butler—Love his skill set.  Just needs to stay healthy.
10.  Rudy Gay—Should take off this year.
11.  John Salmons—Highly underrated swingman.
12.  Vince Carter—Still explosive.
13.  Jason Richardson—Phoenix should run more with Shaq gone.
14.  Stephen Jackson—If he can stay happy, he’ll make you happy.
15.  Gerald Wallace—If he can stay healthy, he moves way up the list.

1.  Dirk Nowitzki—Hopefully, the off the court drama doesn’t affect his game.
2.  Pau Gasol—Showed some toughness in the playoffs.  Non-stop whining.
3.  Chris Bosh—Playing for a contract.
4.  Amar’e Stoudemire—Should bounce back nicely.
5.  Tim Duncan—Mr. Reliable.
6.  Troy Murphy—Three-point ability sets him apart.
7.  David West—Silent assassin.
8.  Josh Smith—Does it all.
9.  Kevin Garnett—Not the old KG, but still darn good.
10.  LaMarcus Aldridge—Rebounds could take a hit, but a smooth scorer.
11.  Al Jefferson—Would rank him higher, but his Achilles scares me.
12.  Carlos Boozer—If he can stay healthy, he’s an unbelievable talent.
13.  Elton Brand—Ditto.
14.  David Lee—Lunch pailer.
15.  Nene Hilario—Finally reaching his potential.

*Antawn Jamison’s shoulder injury worries me.  If he only misses a small chunk of the season, he’s easily top 10.

1.  Dwight Howard—Free throws are his kryptonite.
2.  Pau Gasol—Kobe’s sidekick is very good.
3.  Chris Bosh—Auditioning for that big contract.
4.  Amar’e Stoudemire—Should shine with Shaq gone.
5.  Tim Duncan—Steady.  Mr. Fundamental.
6.  Troy Murphy—Hits the boards like a Madman and racks up the threes.
7.  Brook Lopez—I think he blows up this year.
8.  LaMarcus Aldridge—Solid in most categories.
9.  Al Jefferson—If his Achilles checks out, move him up a few notches.
10.  David Lee—Mr. Double-Double.
11.  Nene Hilario—Major improvement last year.
12.  Andris Biedrins—Rebounding machine.
13.  Mehmet Okur—Health an issue, but three-ball helps him.
14.  Marcus Camby—Speaking of health…
15.  Al Horford—Somewhat disappointing last year.  Should bounce back.
