NBC Olympics Schedule 2018: TV Guide, Live Stream and Saturday Predictions

Alex KebleFeb 10, 2018

NBC's Saturday coverage of the 2018 Winter Olympics is officially the second day of the games, but it is in fact the third day of sports in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

It promises to be a superb day of action for fans in the United States, with six medal ceremonies across the day, starting from 2 a.m ET and ending in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Nineteen-year-old American Bradie Tennell, one of the rising stars of the games, takes part in the qualifying rounds of the Figure Skating late on Saturday, while the Alpine Skiing is always exciting, although USA are not predicted to medal, according to Daniel Rapaport for Sports Illustrated.

Three different events in the women's and men's short-track speedskating take place on Saturday, and with South Korean athletes expected to dominate, it promises to make for good viewing.

As one of the most famous Winter Olympic events, it should draw big viewing figures across Saturday.

Another fans' favorite is ski jumping, which this year includes a host of new competitors for the U.S. Skiing raises the pulse, the downhill most of all, and seven Americans will be entering the men's downhill.

Predictions:

Women's Cross-Country Skiing (15-kilometers)

Sweden's Charlotte Kalla should be able to take gold in Pyeongchang following her success in 2014. Kalla has three Olympic silver medals and two golds to her name, winning silver in the cross-country 15-kilometers in Sochi (losing out by just two seconds) and gold in the 4x5-kilometer relay in miraculous circumstances by making up a 25-second deficit.

Men's Short-Track Speedskating 1,500-meters

South Korea typically dominate this sport, and it should be no different this time around, with Hwang Dae-heon arguably the favorite to take gold on Saturday. He won gold in the men's 1000-meters in the Youth Olympics in Lillehammer in 2016.

Men's Normal Hill Individual Ski Jumping

Poland's Kamil Stoch is unstoppable at the moment. He won two gold medals in Sochi, the normal and large hill events, as well as the Four Hills Tournament World Cup in 2017 and 2018. Stoch is a clear favorite to take home yet another gold.

Figure Skating (Ice Dance Short Dance)

French team Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron have suddenly begun to dominate on the international circuit after an extended period of success from Canada's Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir.

It will be an incredibly close call, but the French duo's historic Audi Cup of China performance, in which they broke the 200-point barrier for the first time ever, gives them the edge.

Alpine Skiing (Men's Downhill)

Beat Feuz finished 13th in the downhill in 2014, but his excellent recent results suggest gold is in the offing this time around. Feuz won the downhill event at both the 2017 World Championships and 2018 World Cup.

Snowboarding (Men's Slopestyle)

Marcus Kleveland is the obvious favorite here, having won gold at the Winter X Games in Slopestyle in 2017 and 2018. However, 17-year-old American wonderkid Red Gerard could spring a surprise.

With highlights from previous days also airing throughout the day on Saturday, NBC and NBCSN have got you covered from dawn until dusk on Saturday.
