Liverpool Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Daniel Sturridge and Alisson
Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge is reportedly close to completing a loan move to Inter Milan.
According to Neil Moxley of the Sunday People (h/t the Sunday Mirror), the Reds wanted a £5 million loan fee for the striker and any side interested in taking Sturridge to pay his £150,000-per-week wages in full.
However, Liverpool are said to have relaxed those demands, with little interest shown in the 28-year-old. Inter will reportedly pay £1.5 million to bring Sturridge to the San Siro for the remainder of the campaign.

"He is hoping to make a late bid for his England spot in Russia on the back of regular game time in Italy but will have to play and score consistently if he is to drag himself anywhere near Gareth Southgate's final 23," Moxley said.
As Andy Kelly of the Liverpool Echo relayed, after Saturday's FA Cup fourth-round loss to West Bromwich Albion, Reds manager Jurgen Klopp had little to say on Sturridge:
When asked about signing Sturridge, Inter director Piero Ausilio suggested the club wouldn't be looking to acquire another striker.
"I don’t feel that I should cancel anyone from the list of possibilities, but in terms of the attack we have the players we are content with and can go forward like this," he said, per Football Italia.
The striker has struggled to get regular game time this season, with Roberto Firmino often leading the line in the first XI.
Additionally, Klopp has recently called upon Danny Ings from the bench in an attempt to change games in Liverpool's favour. For Sturridge, a January switch is surely on the cards because he will be desperate to reignite his career.
Jonathan Northcroft of the Sunday Times believes a move to Italy would benefit Sturridge but thinks Liverpool could still make use of him too:
The forward can be effective at full throttle. Sturridge is smart in his movement, is intelligent in how he uses the ball and, when he does get chances, has shown himself to be a tremendous finisher.
If he gets the regular football he craves, then Sturridge would be confident of building up his form and making an impression at the highest level. It seems as though he will have to leave Liverpool if he is going to do that.
Reds' Alisson Bid Rejected

According to Il Tempo, Liverpool have had an offer rejected for AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson (h/tSport Witness).
As Sport Witness noted, the Reds have previously been linked with a move for the Brazil international, who is enjoying a tremendous season for the Italian capital club.
Liverpool, meanwhile, continue to have issues between the sticks, with neither Simon Mignolet nor Loris Karius convincing this season. Meanwhile, in the Italian top flight, Alisson has been excellent for Roma, as OptaPaolo recently illustrated:
While he's an excellent shot-stopper, there's plenty more to Alisson's game than keeping the ball out of the net.
His distribution is one area in which the 25-year-old excels. The goalkeeper is composed in possession, able to knock passes into midfield to beat a press or ping long balls behind the defence to set up counter-attacking opportunities.
After spending £75 million to sign Virgil van Dijk earlier in January, getting a new man in goal should be Klopp's next priority. Alisson would be a smart acquisition, although you suspect Roma would be reluctant to part ways with such an important player.
