Alexis Sanchez Wants to 'Win Everything' After Manchester United Transfer
Alexis Sanchez expressed his desire to "win all the trophies" and revealed his long-held ambition to play for Manchester United after finally sealing his move to Old Trafford from Arsenal.
It was announced on Monday that United had signed the 29-year-old Chile international on a four-and-a-half-year deal in a swap with Henrikh Mkhitaryan after protracted rumours surrounding the switch.
In an interview with MUTV's Stewart Gardner, Sanchez hailed the Old Trafford club as "the biggest in England" and revealed a previous conversation he had with former manager Sir Alex Ferguson:

"Since I was a young lad I've always said that my dream was to play for Manchester United, and I'm not just saying that because I'm here now and today it's come true. I always said as a kid that I'd like to play for United, and I once spoke to Sir Alex Ferguson about it. We chatted for around 20 minutes. And I told him that my dream was to come here to Manchester United.
"It really is a massive club, very powerful, and so now, when I got the opportunity to come here, I looked at the badge and my hairs just stood up on end because it's a powerful club and the biggest in England.
"I believe that at this club it's possible to achieve anything. The badge says it all, it's a huge club on a worldwide scale, and I want to come here and win everything: the Premier League, the Champions League, and whatever comes the club's way in the future."
United provided a clip of the interview on their official Twitter account:
Sanchez was previously linked to Manchester City, but when the Sky Blues reportedly pulled out of the race to sign him, per Jonathan Smith of ESPN FC, it seemed inevitable he would move to Old Trafford.
Per WhoScored.com, he has been one of the most impressive forwards in the Premier League since joining Arsenal from Barcelona in July 2014:
With United sitting second in the Premier League but 12 points behind table-topping City, Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho will hope Sanchez can help close the gap to their Manchester neighbours.
The forward will be eligible to make his debut for United when they visit Yeovil Town in the FA Cup on Friday.
It is unclear yet where the Chilean will play in Mourinho's system, not least as Anthony Martial has been in brilliant form recently on the left flank.
Sanchez, Martial, Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard are all likely to be competing for places, but it would be a surprise were United's newest signing not to become an immediate starter.
The former Udinese man is raring to go at United and is likely to be given a rapturous welcome when he finally gets the chance to make his Old Trafford debut against Huddersfield Town on February 3.
