New Orleans Pelicans center DeMarcus Cousins made history during Monday's 132-128 double-overtime win against the Chicago Bulls at Smoothie King Center.
He notched a game-high 44 points and added 24 rebounds and 10 assists for a triple-double that put him in elite company.
According to ESPN Stats & Info, Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Elgin Baylor and Oscar Robertson are the only other players to ever post 40/20/10 lines.
Cousins drained five of 11 three-pointers and 13 of 29 from the field. He also added four steals and a block to his remarkable box score.
New Orleans trailed the Bulls by 18 points with 7:33 remaining in the fourth quarter, but outscored the visitors 28-10 the rest of regulation en route to the first of two extra periods and, ultimately, a hard-fought victory.
