Browns Fans Attend Parade in Cleveland Following 0-16 Season

Andrew GouldJan 6, 2018

Cleveland Browns fans mockingly celebrated the team's "perfect" 0-16 season by forming a parade Saturday.

On a cold winter day in Cleveland, dejected fans made the most of an unpleasant situation by poking fun at the team's poor play. The Cleveland Police estimated a peak attendance of 2,500 to 3,200 people outside FirstEnergy Stadium.

The event's floats, which included a dumpster, creatively made light of the Browns' ineptitude.

Fans who witnessed four Browns victories over the past three seasons demanded "watchable football."

Not everyone viewed the parade as a laughing matter. Defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah urged "true Browns fans" not to attend.

The team took a more diplomatic approach, acknowledging the fanbase's desire to have a reason to celebrate in a statement.

Disgruntled fans banded together to commiserate about their collective hobby of watching their favorite NFL team every Sunday. It was probably more fun than shouting on social media, at least for anyone who didn't catch a cold.

While a dozen playoff participants hope to solidify a proper championship parade, Browns fans will look to the 2018 draft, as Cleveland holds the Nos. 1 and 4 picks.
