Manchester United Transfer News: Paulo Dybala 'Warning' Sent, Luke Shaw Rumours
Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has reportedly given Manchester United target Paulo Dybala a warning that he can't play as a striker for a top club. Elsewhere, Luke Shaw's prospects at Old Trafford have improved, though his future remains in doubt
The Daily Star's Alex Wood cited a report from the Mirror detailing United manager Jose Mourinho's interest in Dybala, including Allegri expressing doubts over his ability to lead the line for a big club.
Allegri said: "He cannot play centre-forward for a big club, where the distance to goal is much shorter. Just look at his best goals for Juve: they're often when he's running from deeper positions."

There's plenty of cause to concur with the Bianoneri chief in his assessment, particularly given Dybala's strength scoring from outside the box, but there's no guarantee the player will agree.
The Mirror reported Mourinho is interested in Dybala to provide support for Romelu Lukaku and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Mourinho may be more prepared to offer Dybala minutes in attack, where the Argentinian spent much of his time at Palermo prior to joining Juve in 2015.
Italian football writer Adam Digby recently described Dybala as having the "highest ceiling" of any player in Serie A.
Allegri may not be keen on the thought of selling his star anytime soon, however, after he recently gave Dybala heavy praise, per Premium Sport, via Goal: "When [Cristiano] and [Lionel] Messi get older, it will be Neymar and Dybala who will be the best players in the world."
Dybala has Gonzalo Higuain as the biggest competition for the main striker role with the Old Lady at present, and despite his success in a No. 10 role, there may come a day when he seeks to advance his position.

Meanwhile, Samuel Luckhurst of the Manchester Evening News reported United have triggered the one-year clause in Shaw's contract to extend his stay until the summer of 2019.
The left-back is said to have impressed the club with his "attitude and application," although it's added the next four months of this season will decide if he earns a new deal or is put on the market.
The search for a new left-back is suggested to have eased off thanks to Shaw's resurgence, but that doesn't mean United won't revisit that possibility should the England international regress.
