Under Armour All-America Game Roster 2018: List of Recruits and Top Prospects
While Georgia and Alabama are busy preparing for the CFP National Championship, some of college football's future stars are getting ready for Thursday's Under Armour All-America Game.
Quarterback Justin Fields, who is a Georgia commit, headlines the list of prospects participating in the game at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
In addition to Fields, three other Georgia commits will feature in the contest, while Alabama will be represented by six commits.
The full roster for the Under Armour All-America Game can be found here.
Top Prospects to Watch
Justin Fields, QB (Committed to Georgia)
Fields, a dual-threat quarterback from Harrison High School in Kennesaw, Georgia, is one of the best prospects in the class of 2018.
The Georgia commit has the opportunity to further impress Kirby Smart and his staff with an impressive performance on Thursday as he takes charge of an offense jam-packed with 5-star talent.
It may seem impossible for Fields to be a freshman starter for Georgia with Jake Fromm playing so well, but Fields has the talent to at least push Fromm and make it a competition in camp before the 2018 season begins.
"It could be a tough situation," Smart said, per Pat Forde of Yahoo. "But managing that situation is what they pay you to do."
How much playing time, if any, Fields receives in his freshman season at Georgia will be determined in the coming months. At the very least, he can use Thursday's contest to showcase his talents and prove why he was one of the top rated quarterbacks in the country.
Eyabi Anoma, DE (Committed to Alabama)
As if Alabama needed another five-star recruit on its dominant defensive line, it has one on the way in the form of Eyabi Anoma.
The defensive end from Maryland, who is the No. 4 overall player in the ESPN 300, brings the dynamic talent you expect from an Alabama commit on the defensive line. ESPN's Craig Haubert gave us a look at Anoma's skills during Under Armour All-America Game practice:
At 6'6", Anoma presents a challenge to any offensive linemen with his reach and quickness, which could lead him to the quarterback in a short amount of time.
Anoma is currently listed at 223 pounds, but he should add more muscle over the next few months as he prepares to make an impact on the rigorous SEC schedule in his first collegiate season.
Justin Shorter, WR (Committed to Penn State)
Justin Shorter is one of three 5-star players to commit to Penn State, and fans in Happy Valley should be more than excited about seeing him in blue and white next season.
ESPN's top wide receiver in the class of 2018 stands at 6'4", which makes him a vital asset in the red zone. Under Armour Football provided practice footage showing the advantage Shorter has in the endzone:
The product from South Brunswick High School in New Jersey impressed at The Opening last summer and was coveted by some of the top programs in the nation.
Shorter is one of four top-five wide receivers in ESPN's rankings playing on Thursday. Terrace Marshall Jr. and Kearis Jackson, respectively committed to LSU and Georgia, will competing for targets alongside Shorter and the uncommitted Jacob Copeland.
