Manchester United Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Ryan Sessegnon and Luke Shaw
Manchester United will reportedly agree to loan Ryan Sessegnon back to Fulham in a bid to push through a £25 million deal for the left-back, while Tottenham Hotspur are said to want to sign Luke Shaw in January.
Jose Mourinho's side have "stepped up their move" for the Fulham youngster and are hopeful they can seal a deal if they agree to send Sessegnon back to the Cottagers, per The Sun on Sunday's Mike McGrath.
Sessegnon has featured in all 23 of Fulham's Championship games this season, and remaining at Craven Cottage would allow the 17-year-old to continue his development by playing regularly.

The move would also give Luke Shaw more time to prove himself, as the United left-back is "determined to fight for his place at Old Trafford instead of looking for a move," per McGrath.
Shaw made his first Premier League start of the season in the 1-0 win over Bournemouth earlier in December. Football writer Liam Canning believes the full-back deserves more game time:
However, he is very much behind Ashley Young in the pecking order at left-back and appears to have some way to go before he convinces Mourinho he is worth a regular place in his starting lineup.
Writer Yousef Teclab feels Shaw's situation should serve as a warning to Sessegnon:
"Ryan Sessengon is a prodigious talent but Luke Shaw was a wonderful young talent at Southampton and went for a big move to Man Utd.

Injuries and out of favour has left him a shadow of the player he once was. Sessengon only 17 - should stay a few more years at Fulham to develop. https://t.co/rrbuTblsyc
Young will turn 33 next year and is clearly not a long-term option at full-back for United, while it remains to be seen whether Shaw will make the grade at Old Trafford.
Therefore, a move for the highly promising Sessegnon makes sense. And allowing him to remain at Fulham until the end of the season may be the best move for all involved.
Shaw may want to fight for his place, but Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino wants to bring the defender and Ross Barkley to his team in January, according to Neil Fissler at the Sunday Express.

The Red Devils may allow Shaw to leave to help fund a deal for Sessegnon, and Spurs want to strengthen after dropping out of the top four.
The north Londoners look set for a tough battle for a UEFA Champions League place. They are fifth but on the same number of points as sixth-place Arsenal and just one point behind fourth-place Liverpool.
Pochettino has said his side may buy in January but added "it is so difficult to try and find the player to come in and help you," per Greg Johnson at Football.London.
Shaw worked with Pochettino at Southampton before the full-back left the club for Manchester United in 2014.
The 22-year-old has never managed to secure a regular place in the team since arriving at Old Trafford as the world's most expensive teenager.
A serious double leg fracture in September 2015 interrupted his career, but even though he has battled back to full fitness, he has yet to earn Mourinho's trust.
Football writer Tom McDermott said Shaw would be entitled to ask to leave:
Shaw has looked bright in his recent outings, but it would still be little surprise if Mourinho opted to sell should an acceptable offer arrive.
