Real Madrid Transfer News: Manchester City Target Keylor Navas in Latest Rumours
Manchester City are reportedly preparing a winter move for Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas as a replacement for current back-up Claudio Bravo.
According to Spanish outlet Diario Gol (h/t Le 10 Sport, via Calciomercato), City manager Pep Guardiola is eager to get rid of Chilean Bravo, while it has long been reported Real president Florentino Perez wants a high-profile replacement for Navas, 31.
The report added Navas may not be that receptive to the idea of moving to City to replace Bravo as he would then have to play second fiddle to Ederson, who has impressed at the Etihad Stadium this season since joining in the summer.

It seems clear Perez is eager to replace Navas with Thibaut Courtois or David De Gea, and Los Blancos continue to be heavily linked with Athletic Bilbao's Kepa Arrizabalaga, per MailOnline's Pete Jenson.
Though Navas looks destined for the exit door at the Santiago Bernabeu he boasts more than enough pedigree to demand the No. 1 spot at another top club.
The Costa Rican stopper would have a serious challenge on his hands to unseat Ederson as the No. 1 if he were to move to City.
But there are other major European clubs where he could become the first-choice goalkeeper, including Arsenal and Liverpool, with whom he has been linked in the past, per Diario Gol (via Robert Cottingham of MailOnline).
Paris Saint-Germain also arguably lack the quality of goalkeeper needed for a club with designs on winning the UEFA Champions League, with both Alphonse Areola and Kevin Trapp lacking in certain areas.
Navas, though, is a two-time Champions League winner already and has stepped admirably into the space left by Real legend Iker Casillas.
Perez seems to want a higher profile name in between the posts at Real, but Navas is unlikely to be satisfied to move on to City only to play a back-up role.
As a 31-year-old goalkeeper he still has a number of years left at his peak, and City are unlikely to be the only side after him if he does leave Real.
