The San Jose Sharks hosted the Vancouver Canucks at SAP Center on Thursday, but the MVP of the night was a most valuable pup.
Ahead of the contest, Danny McHale, his mother and his companion dog, Lake, journeyed onto the ice for the ceremonial puck drop.
Lake handled the honor, perfectly placing the puck between opposing players as good as any referee in the league could have.
