Kyrie Irving's Strong 2nd Half Propels Celtics to Comeback Win over Thunder
Boston Celtics guard Kyrie Irving scored three points in the first half but finished with 25 points on 10-of-22 shooting to lead a 101-94 comeback victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder at Chesapeake Energy Arena on Friday.
The Thunder led by 55-37 at halftime but allowed a scrappy Celtics team to claw its way back in the game. Irving put together a few highlight plays to dig Boston out of an early hole:
Boston became the first team in NBA history to start 0-2 then win seven consecutive games. It's a good turnaround after Gordon Hayward's gruesome leg injury on opening night.
Even though they lost their All-Star forward for the 2017-18 season, the Celtics have regrouped and look like strong contenders in the Eastern Conference at 7-2.
