Stephen Curry's 1st Tee Shot at Ellie Mae Classic Lands in Golf Cart Cupholder
Stephen Curry's pinpoint accuracy didn't translate to the links early in his professional golf debut.
The NBA superstar is competing on a sponsor's exemption in Web.com Tour's Ellie Mae Classic. As documented above by ESPN's Michael Collins, Curry's first shot on Thursday curved left off the course and into a golf cart.
San Francisco Chronicle's Ron Kroichick captured the errant swing.

Pe Kroichick, he had to play another tee shot off the course.
Before the tournament, the huge underdog told Collins that he aimed to stay competitive with the pros during the opening day.
"The cut would be—if I can just give myself a chance, like go into Friday with a realistic chance to make it—that would be amazing," Curry said. "I want to know what that adrenaline rush is like, because for me, that would be like winning the tourney."
Curry posted three bogeys in five holes but recorded an eagle on the 15th hole at TPC Stonebrae in Hayward, California.
