WGC-Bridgestone Invitational Odds: Jordan Spieth Tournament Betting Favorite
With Jordan Spieth coming off his third Major victory on the PGA Tour after winning the British Open, he will try to pick up a third straight first-place finish this week at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.
Spieth has won over $3 million with back-to-back wins in the Travelers Championship and British Open, and he is +800 chalk (bet $100 to win $800) to take home a third successive tournament title at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.
The 24-year-old Texas native is only lacking a PGA Championship win on his resume, and he will get the chance to do that next week at Quail Hollow.

In the meantime, Spieth will try to fend off a number of other top contenders to earn his first career victory in the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, starting this Thursday at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio.
Dustin Johnson is the defending champion and listed as the +900 co-second choice to repeat along with another former champ, Rory McIlroy.

Johnson has struggled a bit recently even though he did finish eighth at the RBC Canadian Open last week. Before that, he finished a disappointing 54th at the British Open and missed the cut in his previous two events he entered (the U.S. Open and the Memorial Tournament).
Meanwhile, McIlroy won the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational three years ago, and he too has performed below expectations lately outside of a fourth-place finish at the British Open. Prior to that, he was 17th in the Travelers Championship and missed the cut at the U.S. Open.
The 28-year-old from Northern Ireland is still looking for his first win on the PGA Tour this year. He has five top-10 finishes among the nine events entered.
Others in the mix with odds to win the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational lower than +2000 include Rickie Fowler (+1600), Brooks Koepka (+1800) and Hideki Matsuyama (+1800).
Fowler has three top-five finishes in his last five events but placed just 22nd in the British Open. Matsuyama was slightly better at 14th after tying for second in the U.S. Open before that. Koepka won the U.S. Open and then placed sixth in the British Open for his fifth top-10 finish.
