OH NO!!! Did Rich Rodriguez REALLY Yell at Tate???
Rich Rodriguez yelled at his starting quaterback during the Iowa game.
Oh...my...God. I hope he didn't hurt his feelings...
My friends, let me welcome you to modern day America. The "wussification" (for lack of a better word) is getting to the point of being so ridiculous its amazing anyone here can get through the day without having their feelings hurt.
We now live in a society of "men" that act more like women. They wear purses...yes, that cute little messenger bag you carry around is a purse. They have to be 100% politically correct...God forbid they sack up and tell someone what they honestly think. They put their kids in baseball leagues where nobody wins...because it makes all the sense in the world to play a sport and let everyone win so noones feelings are hurt...mmmmmk....?
You can't even yell at a kid in a man's game because he isn't listening and doesn't have his head in the game?
WOW. ...and to think these are the type of people who will lead our nation one day...scary.
So here is when I ask...whats next? Maybe we can do away with tackling? I hear if you ask the other team nicely they wont tackle you and will let you just take a knee...especially if you say pretty please with a cherry on top! Its makes too much sense not to try it. I mean really, who wouldn't want NCAA football to turn into one big powder puff game? I know I would...geez...it'd be amazing.
Ok. All sarcasm aside, I'm tired of hearing pansy-ass fans complain about a coach being a coach. If you want to be coddled and have your butt kissed, football is not the sport for you...maybe you would be better suited to take up floor ribbon dancing?
If a kid has his head up his butt, there are only so many ways to get his attention. Yelling is one of them. Bo did it. Carr did it. Now Rich does it and everyone wants to have a fit. I bet your spoiled little kids walk all over you too, don't they?
This is more of a rant than a column, so I'll stop now...I'd hate to offend anyone...but me personally, I like having a coach that has that fire in him. He wants the best for his team and when they don't play up to par, they are going to hear about it. Exactly the way it should be.
