WWE SmackDown: Burning Questions to Address After June 27 Show
Tuesday's WWE SmackDown cleared up the confusion and controversy surrounding the women's Money in the Bank ladder match situation, but it left the audience wondering about several other unknowns.
Jinder Mahal accepted Randy Orton's challenge for the WWE Championship at WWE Battleground. But the stipulation The Maharaja selected for their July 23 pay-per-view bout leaves one wondering if this feud is going to end with a tailspin.
Sami Zayn and Mike Kanellis' brief interaction planted the seeds for a possible feud. A break in the mystery Tyler Breeze and Fandango are working on caused them to rethink things. And Lana's loss to Naomi wasn't as clear-cut as it looked at first glance.

The following is a look at all those scenarios, breaking down the biggest questions the latest SmackDown left lingering.
Is Lana vs. Naomi Over?
Lana couldn't last two minutes with Naomi this time around.
The Ravishing Russian received another shot at the SmackDown Women's Championship on Tuesday night. Naomi pummeled her. She beat the challenger decisively and quickly.
That feud is over with now, right?
Maybe not. It's not clear if this was an error or a part of the script, but Lana's shoulders weren't down on the mat during the final three-count.
Lana pleaded her case on Twitter that she didn't technically lose:
Is this just her sparking conversation, or is this an angle in the making? The best move would be to develop Lana outside of the title picture. The logic of her getting these championship chances is hard to swallow. She needs to go get some wins elsewhere, even if she is complaining that she never got a fair chance against Naomi.
WWE should let her spit conspiracy theories a la 1998 Chris Jericho and help her flesh out her character that way.
Who Trashed Breezango's Office?
Breezango thought the case of their trashed office was solved. It turns out, however, The Ascension didn't do it.
Someone again vandalized The Fashion Police's headquarters, but this time The Ascension had an alibi. Breeze and Fandango were interrogating them at the time of the incident.
Who is behind this then? Who will end up being Breezango's enemies at the end of this tale?
There aren't a ton of options. The Usos, The Colons and The Ascension are the only heel teams on the roster. Breezango has ruled all three of them out.
That means either Breezango's detective work is faulty or someone unexpected is the culprit. Could WWE be looking to turn American Alpha heel this way? Is a new team getting added to the blue brand?
Please don't let it be The Spirit Squad. That would be quite the disappointing reveal if Kenny and Mikey ended up being the criminals Breezango has been chasing.
Are Zayn and Kanellis on a Collision Course?
Kanellis has yet to wrestle a match for SmackDown, but he may have found his first rival.
He appeared with Maria on Tuesday's SmackDown, snuggling with his wife and being sickeningly affectionate. Zayn interrupted their love fest. The Underdog from the Underground burst past the couple to get to the ring.
The small moment could signal what's ahead for both men.
In the world of WWE, it doesn't take much to make enemies. Zayn stealing Kanellis' thunder would be ample incentive for the newcomer to want to hunt him down.
Vaughn Johnson of Philly.com, for one, wondered if a Zayn-Kanellis feud is on the way:
It makes sense for both Superstars. Kanellis needs a babyface to work with to introduce himself to his new audience. Zayn has proved he can make stars on the rise look excellent.
And if Baron Corbin starts tangling with Shinsuke Nakamura as expected, Zayn will be minus a rival, as well.
Can Mahal-Orton Put on a Good Punjabi Prison Match?
Mahal and Orton will go at it for the WWE Championship once again.
SmackDown commissioner Shane McMahon announced that The Maharaja could name his own stipulation for their third clash. Mahal chose the Punjabi Prison.
That bout is certainly a spectacle but has produced two clunkers out of two in his short history. It's hard to see the action in these bouts. And the rules are convoluted compared to other cage matches.
There's a reason it's been 10 years since WWE has pulled out this gimmick.
The previous Punjabi Prison matches have featured a number of lumbering performers. Mahal is a better worker than The Great Khali. Orton is more entertaining in the ring than Big Show.
Still, the gimmick is poised to get in the way. Rather than see Orton flinging The Singh Brothers around or champion and challenger execute a standard back-and-forth in the ring, we're set to see a whole lot of climbing.
Orton and Mahal will have their work cut out for them in making the Punjabi Prison match anything other than a bust.
