Hechavarria has been on the disabled list since the beginning of May with an oblique strain, but he hit .277 in 20 games before the injury.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
He is expected to return shortly, after completing his rehab assignment.
While the 28-year-old is coming off a disappointing season in which he hit just .236 with three home runs, he had been better in the past and owns a .255 career batting average. He also plays above-average defense at a premium position.
That is what caused a bidding war for the shortstop over the past couple of days. According to Joe Frisaro of MLB.com, four teams were involved in talks for Hechavarria, including the St. Louis Cardinals and Baltimore Orioles.
He should nab immediate playing time with the Rays because of injuries to infielders Matt Duffy and Brad Miller. Hechavarria will also have next season to prove himself before he becomes a free agent.
Meanwhile, the Marlins will give JT Riddle a chance to stick at shortstop. He's hitting .230/.251/.354 with three home runs and 23 RBI in 51 games this season.
Lee, a center fielder, is hitting .318/.387/.391 in Double-A, while Clark, a right-handed pitcher, owns a 3.11 ERA and 1.00 WHIP in Single-A.
