Kylian Mbappe Plan Reportedly Explained to Player's Father by Florentino Perez
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has reportedly spoken to Kylian Mbappe's father to explain the role the Monaco striker would have at the Santiago Bernabeu in a bid to convince him to sign off on a move.
According to Telefoot (h/t Marca's Jose Felix Diaz), while the decision will ultimately be Mbappe's, his father will represent him in talks regarding his future, and he has been concerned the 18-year-old will not receive the playing time he needs with Los Blancos.
To that end, Perez has told him what to expect and "how he could progress up the pecking order in the coming years," as he wants Mbappe's camp to be eager for him to join before they approach Monaco with a "concrete" bid.

While the report does not detail what role Mbappe would be handed, if Perez is trying to assuage his concerns, it would seem likely he is offering a reasonably significant role.
The teenager is a key player at Monaco. He firmly established himself in the side over the course of last season, netting 26 goals and creating a further 14 for his team-mates.
However, Mbappe's father was vocal about his son's lack of game time early in the campaign, per football writer Andrew Gibney:
The Ligue 1 side are now doing their part to try to keep him, per Journal du Dimanche (h/t football writer and broadcaster Matt Spiro):
Real have a great deal of firepower, but Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Alvaro Morata have all been linked with moves away from the Bernabeu this summer.
Should one of them leave, manager Zinedine Zidane would have much less of a problem fitting Mbappe into the side next season, not to mention offloading one would also help fund any deal for the youngster.
Mbappe's father's concern is understandable, though.
The forward may have had a magnificent campaign, but he still needs plenty more game time during his formative years to continue his development into the world-class talent he has potential to be. Real aren't above leaving an in-form striker on the bench, having done so with Morata last year.
However, given the size of any deal bringing Mbappe to the Spanish capital, it is unlikely the Frenchman would receive the same treatment.
