4-Star WR Rondale Moore Commits to Texas over Alabama, Georgia, Others
Rondale Moore, a 4-star wide receiver from Trinity High School in Louisville, Kentucky, announced his commitment to Texas on Sunday:
Moore, who stands 5'8" and weighs 174 pounds, is considered the No. 20 wide receiver in the Class of 2018 and the No. 115 prospect overall by Scout.com. He was being widely recruited and had offers from Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan State, Penn State and Georgia, among others.
Brandon Huffman of Scout.com wrote of Moore, "He has been an outstanding tester in the offseason, running 4.33 at The Opening Chicago and posting big numbers in the other stations as well. He is a weight room warrior and his overall explosiveness and playmaking ability makes him the best slot receiver in the [Midwest] region."
That makes Moore one of the fastest players in the Class of 2018 and one of the more intriguing prospects. He'll add to an already stacked 2018 recruiting class for Texas that is already ranked as the No. 6 class in the country by Scout.
While the Longhorns haven't added any 5-star recruits of yet, Moore will be the program's 10th 4-star addition. He'll also be the first wideout addition, though the team should be getting an overall upgrade at the offensive skill positions with 4-star star quarterbacks Cameron Rising and Casey Thompson and 4-star running backs Justin Watkins and Keaontay Ingram entering the fray.
