Manchester United Cleared in Paul Pogba Transfer; FIFA to Investigate Juventus
Manchester United have been cleared of wrongdoing by FIFA over their £89 million signing of Paul Pogba last summer from Juventus, but the Italian giants still face disciplinary proceedings.
According to Rob Dawson of ESPN, FIFA have confirmed United will face no further action on the issue after they were asked in May for clarification on the signing, but Juventus are to be investigated further.
Dawson added the Red Devils and Juve were both initially asked for clarification over the signing when it was reported Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, could earn over £41 million from the deal.

Proceedings have been opened against the Old Lady because their agreement with Raiola "could have breached third-party ownership rules," while a FIFA spokesman said, per Dawson:
"We can confirm that disciplinary proceedings have been opened against Juventus FC. We cannot comment further as proceedings are ongoing. We can confirm that no disciplinary proceedings have been opened against Manchester United."

Frenchman Pogba left Old Trafford for Juventus in 2012 after not signing a new contract with the Manchester outfit—he had joined United's youth ranks in 2009.
After a successful four-year spell with the Old Lady, during which he won four Serie A titles and earned a reputation as one of the finest young midfielders on the planet—he returned to the Red Devils in a world-record deal.
The 24-year-old endured a mixed first season back at Old Trafford, but finished the campaign strongly and won the EFL Cup and UEFA Europa League.
