Juventus Transfer News: Douglas Costa Terms 'Agreed,' Bayern Munich Talks Set
Juventus are reportedly poised to open talks with Bayern Munich regarding the sale of winger Douglas Costa after the player's agent agreed personal terms with the Serie A champions.
Lyall Thomas of Sky Sports cited a report from Sky in Italy that said Juventus have agreed to pay Costa an annual salary of €6 million (£5.3 million), although the two teams are some way off finalising a transfer fee:

Die Roten want €50 million (£44 million) in order to sell the Brazil international, but Juve are only willing to pay €45 million (£39.6 million) as things stand.
Bayern are coming off the back of their fifth successive Bundesliga title, but manager Carlo Ancelotti has improvements to make this summer.
With that in mind, BT Sport commentator Derek Rae recently suggested Costa could be deemed surplus to requirements if the Germans do need to free up funds for the transfer market:
Costa moved to the Allianz Arena from Shakhtar Donetsk in the summer of 2015, but after a promising first season in Germany under then-manager Pep Guardiola, his playing time took a hit following Ancelotti's arrival.
The South American went from 43 appearances in his maiden Bayern campaign to only 34 in 2016-17, not to mention the fact he played the full 90 minutes in just eight of those matches.
Bayern have already acquired the talents of two promising wingers in the form of Kingsley Coman, the former Juventus wide man who recently turned his two-year loan into a permanent move to the Allianz Arena, and Serge Gnabry from Werder Bremen.
Coman is just one example of the recent business conducted between these two sides, though, as GianlucaDiMarzio.com's David Amoyal recently attested to the other deals made in recent times:
Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri is seeking reinforcements of his own after leading his side to this year's UEFA Champions League final, where they were soundly beaten by Real Madrid 4-1.
Purchasing the available baggage from their European peers may not seem the obvious route to improving a team's prospects, but Costa has proved himself to be an attacker of great pedigree in Germany so far, per OptaPaolo:
In fact, Juventus have shown a knack for turning over the unwanted scraps of other teams into title-worthy contenders, and Costa, 26, could be the latest unpolished diamond they're ready to let shine.
A deal appears close with personal terms already set, but the Bianconeri will need to dip further into their cash reserves before they can count Costa as one of their own.
