Penguins Parade 2017: Route, Date, Schedule, TV Info and More
After winning their third Stanley Cup in nine seasons, including their second straight following a victory over the Nashville Predators this year, the Pittsburgh Penguins will celebrate another championship with their fans during a parade Wednesday at 11 a.m. ET.
Following the Penguins' Game 6 win, Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto wasted little time getting ready for the celebration:

The City of Pittsburgh tweeted details of the parade, including the route that will essentially follow the same path as the previous two with a different ending location:
WTAE Action News 4 in Pittsburgh noted road closures will begin around the city at 9 a.m. ET.
The Penguins used the same route after their Stanley Cup titles in 2009 and 2016. The march takes the team near the U.S. Courthouse, onto Grant Street at Liberty Avenue, onto the Boulevard of the Allies and ends at Stanwix Street.
The fanbase for the Penguins' celebrations continues to grow. More than 400,000 fans turned out for last year's parade, which CBS Pittsburgh reported was the "largest sports parade in Pittsburgh history."
By comparison, the Steelers' last Super Bowl parade in February 2009 drew over 300,000 fans, per ESPN.com.
With their victory over the Predators in the 2017 Stanley Cup Final, the Penguins became the first NHL team to repeat as champions since the 1997-98 Detroit Red Wings. The last team in any of the four major North American sports to win back-to-back titles was the 2012-13 Miami Heat in the NBA.
Most of the Penguins' nucleus—including Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Phil Kessel and Kris Letang—is under contract for next season.
As this group prepares to enjoy its moment with fans, there's no reason to think Pittsburgh can't become the first team to three-peat since the New York Islanders won four straight Stanley Cups from 1980 to 1983.
