Zlatan Ibrahimovic 'Unlikely' to Be Offered New Manchester United Contract
Manchester United are reportedly unlikely to offer the club's 2016-17 top-scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic a new contract, and he is set to leave Old Trafford this summer.
According to Sky Sports News HQ, it was previously expected the Swede would be offered a season-long extension to the one-year deal he signed when he joined the club last summer, but that is now unlikely after he picked up a serious injury back in April:

In the immediate aftermath of Ibrahimovic suffering the cruciate ligament injury that ruled him out for the remainder of the campaign, reports emerged that his United career was likely over, per The Independent's Miguel Delaney.
ESPN FC later reported Ibrahimovic is likely to be released by the club, and a switch to Major League Soccer potentially beckons, per football writer Kevin Palmer:
Ibrahimovic exceeded many pundits' expectations in the Premier League. The Times' Tony Cascarino predicted the Swede would struggle in the English top flight despite having scored consistently in the past at major clubs like Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Juventus and Ajax.
As it was, Ibrahimovic was arguably United's most important player in 2016-17 and netted 17 Premier League goals in 28 appearances—and 28 in 46 in all competition, per WhoScored.com.
The former Sweden international was also named among the six nominees for the PFA Player of the Year Award.
