Aaron Rodgers Discusses Contract Talks with Packers, Says He Feels Appreciated
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers isn't concerned with dollars and cents when he considers whether he feels valued by his team.
"Well, that stuff usually takes care of itself, and I have a fantastic agent, he does a great job. He worries about that stuff," Rodgers said Tuesday, per ESPN.com's Rob Demovsky. "When it comes to setting the market values, I let that stuff take care of itself. I know my value in this league, and I know the team appreciates me. I'm going to continue to make myself an indispensable part of this roster. When you do that, when your time comes up to get a contract, you usually get a contract extension."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Rodgers will earn a $12.55 million base salary and a $6.65 million signing bonus in 2017, per Spotrac. His salary will climb to $19.8 million in 2018 and $20 million in 2019.
While Rodgers' $20.3 million cap hit for the upcoming season is tied for eighth-highest in the league, it's tied for sixth among quarterbacks, according to Spotrac. Joe Flacco, Carson Palmer, Kirk Cousins, Matt Ryan and Matthew Stafford all account for more against their team's salary cap.
Prior to the start of last year, Pro Football Focus' Nathan Jahnke listed Rodgers' deal as the third-best for a quarterback, arguing "the Packers are getting an elite quarterback without paying him elite money."
When it comes time to begin negotiations on a new contract, Rodgers will be in a position to command a king's ransom. If Mike Glennon can sign a three-year, $45 million deal with $18.5 million guaranteed, then it's anybody's guess what Rodgers' value could be.
