Dominic Solanke Nets Winner as England Beat Mexico to Reach U-20 World Cup Semis
Dominic Solanke's second-half goal earned England a 1-0 win over Mexico at the 2017 Under-20 FIFA World Cup to put them through to the semi-finals on Monday.
The new Liverpool signing netted just after half-time at the Cheonan Sports Complex, South Korea, to break the deadlock following a tight opening 45 minutes.
England managed to hold on to their slender lead to the final whistle despite seeing Josh Onomah controversially sent off for a second yellow card 18 minutes from time, and they will now face Italy in the last four.

FIFA provided both lineups ahead of kick-off:
England started the brighter side in Cheonan, with Ademola Lookman, Solanke and Adam Armstrong all having opportunities in the opening 45 minutes.
But it was goalless at the break, and England would have been ruing failing to take advantage of their good play.
It only remained 0-0 for a glimpse of the second half, though, as Solanke's clipped finish put England ahead in the 47th minute.
The former Chelsea forward received the ball on the edge of the penalty area after a brilliant ball from Lewis Cook and buried his effort in the back of the net despite Mexico goalkeeper Abraham Romero getting a strong touch on it.
Following further chances for both sides a nervy close then ensued for the Young Lions after Onomah received a very questionable second yellow, per NBC Sports Soccer's Arlo White:
England were admirably resilient, though, and kept the clean sheet they needed to see them into the last four of the tournament for the first time since 1993.
