Real Madrid Transfer News: Latest Rumours on David De Gea and Eden Hazard
Real Madrid reportedly could sign Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea if they offer £22 million and striker Alvaro Morata in exchange for Spain's No. 1.
Spanish football analyst Guillem Balague believes United manager Jose Mourinho would accept such a deal for his first choice between the sticks.
Balague spelled out the potential deal via his Twitter account (h/t Sky Sports): "Morata said last night his dream is to stay at Madrid...but he's looking for a way out. Nothing from Milan at this point, MUFC want him. Mourinho (strangely) willing to sell De Gea for €25m and Morata. Chelsea divided between Lukaku & Morata. He would like to play in the PL."

Even though Mourinho has a history with Morata, having made him a first-teamer during his time in charge at Madrid, this deal would be an about-turn for United. The Old Trafford club could want as much as £66 million for their starting goalkeeper, per Duncan Castles of the Sunday Times.
Morata is obviously a talent, one blessed with pace, aerial power and underrated technique. Yet he may be more of a complementary piece than a main striker, even if his numbers suggest otherwise.
Morata has scored 20 times across all competitions for Los Blancos this season, according to WhoScored.com. Squawka Football noted how he's been a consistent attacking presence for Madrid:
Even so, the Spain international has been unable to command a regular place in the starting XI under manager Zinedine Zidane. His potential is considerable, but Madrid would be wise to offload Morata if it means a 'keeper as gifted as De Gea comes the other way.
Chelsea Star Open to Real Madrid Offer
Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has revealed he would listen to an offer from Real Madrid should the 12-time European champions try to sign him.
Speaking while on international duty with Belgium, Hazard indicated he'd be receptive to offers from Los Merengues, per Sky Sports: "Of course, I would consider it if Madrid made an offer."
Hazard also identified winning the UEFA Champions League, a tournament Madrid have won in three of the past four seasons, as a primary career aim: "I am keen to win trophies. It would be great to win the Champions League. But Chelsea's goal is to win the Champions League as well. Honestly, I do not know what will happen."

These words may encourage an offer from the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium since Los Blancos have reportedly been keen on Hazard for a while.
In fact, Martin Lipton of The Sun recently stated Madrid had made a move worth £100 million for Chelsea's No. 10, also noting how Hazard's representatives have even discussed a possible deal with La Liga's champions.
However, Chelsea could respond to Madrid's interest by giving Hazard a new contract that would pay him £320,000 per week, according to Neil Fissler of the Sunday Express.
It makes sense for the Blues and Los Merengues to be so keen on Hazard, who is coming off a terrific season. The former Lille OSC ace scored 16 goals and provided five assists to help Chelsea win the Premier League title, per WhoScored.com.
He's also established a niche as the trickiest wide forward in England's top flight, per Squawka Football:
Yet both Chelsea and Madrid will be rocked by news the winger suffered a significant injury in training while on international duty with Belgium, per Sky Sports News HQ:
When healthy, Hazard is the catalyst for everything good Chelsea do in the final third. However, he's a perfect fit for Madrid, especially with Zidane content to play star man Cristiano Ronaldo through the middle more often.
A Hazard-Ronaldo double act would make Los Blancos an even more potent force next season, particularly if De Gea is helping to improve things at the back.
