Bridgewater missed the 2016 season after he dislocated his knee and suffered a torn ACL during an August practice.
Earlier in May, the Vikings reportedly told Bridgewater they will not exercise the 2018 team option on his contract, per USA Today's Tom Pelissero. Pelissero also said the Louisville product will likely start the 2017 campaign on the physically unable to perform list until he is reevaluated in October.

Bridgewater appeared to be the Vikings' quarterback of the future when he led them to the playoffs in 2015 with 3,231 passing yards, 14 touchdown throws and three rushing scores. Minnesota traded for Sam Bradford after Bridgewater's injury, and the Oklahoma product played 15 games in 2016.
