Stephen Tulloch Will Retire After 11 Seasons in NFL
Former Detroit Lions linebacker Stephen Tulloch will retire from the NFL, the team announced Tuesday.
The 11-year veteran will have an official press conference Thursday at the Lions facility. He spent the past season with the Philadelphia Eagles and was a free agent.
The 32-year-old began his career with the Tennessee Titans, playing five seasons before joining Detroit as a free agent in 2011. He became a defensive leader from there, starting all 16 games in each of the next three years before injuries slowed him.

He was named a team captain in 2012 and 2013.
After a disappointing 2016 season in Philadelphia, where he tallied just seven tackles in 12 games (one start), he was unable to find another landing spot on the free-agent market.
Tulloch will now get a chance to celebrate his career in Detroit, where he enjoyed his best seasons.
