Jordan Bell Declares for 2017 NBA Draft After Calling Report 'Fake News'
Oregon Ducks forward Jordan Bell has decided to forgo his senior season and enter the 2017 NBA draft on June 22.
Bell made his announcement Tuesday in a piece for the website Rise Long Beach.
The declaration comes after Shams Charania of The Vertical reported the Oregon star would be doing so and signing with an agent Sunday.
Bell responded to the report on Twitter, using the hashtag "fake news" and saying he hadn't made any decision about his future:
Bleacher Report NBA draft expert Jonathan Wasserman has Bell ranked as the No. 36 prospect in this year's draft class.
As a junior in 2016-17, Bell set career highs with 10.9 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. He was named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year, helping lead the Ducks to the Final Four for the first time since 1939.
