The King of New York made an appearance among his subjects.

Jalen Brunson showed up to the legendary Rucker Park to take in some street ball and interact with New York Knicks fans. To the surprise of nobody, his appearance drew quite a reaction from those in attendance:

Brunson will forever be a hero in New York after leading the Knicks to their first championship since the 1972-73 campaign.

He captured the NBA Finals MVP as the Knicks eliminated the San Antonio Spurs in five games with a number of dramatic comebacks and moments. He saved his best individual performance for last and poured in 45 points in the closeout Game 5 on the road.

New York also overcame a 29-point deficit in Game 4 in front of a raucous Madison Square Garden crowd.

While the Eastern Conference figures to be even more challenging for the Knicks during the upcoming season after an offseason of notable player movement, they are still the kings of the NBA until someone defeats them in the playoffs.
