WWE Raw Results: Biggest Winners, Losers and Moments from April 10

Kevin WongApr 11, 2017

The first night of the Superstar Shake-up is in the books. And even though SmackDown will get its turn to draft (let's just call it what it is), it's difficult to see how the blue brand will be getting an even trade for what they lost.

For the past seven months, SmackDown has been a better show than Raw, despite having the leaner talent roster. That's a credit to the creative team, which has done a better job of cultivating its talent, booking its angles and keeping a fast pace. It's also a credit to the superstars themselves, who made the best of being on WWE's B-show.

But now that's over. Raw cherry-picked some of SmackDown's best talents to bolster its roster. Will the ex-SmackDown superstars add some needed excitement to Monday nights, or will they disappear into the lower midcard muck? Here are Raw's winners and losers for April 10.

Loser: The Miz

1 of 5

The Miz is headed to Raw, and he must be none too happy about it.

Ever since his worked shoot on Daniel Bryan during Talking Smack, The Miz has been the highlight of Tuesday nights. His ring work improved. His promos were unmatched. And his John Cena impressions stole the show every week.

But now, Miz is on Raw, which pretty much guarantees that he's going back to the lower midcard hell from whence he came. On SmackDown, Miz was a big fish in a small pond; it seemed like he was two or three matches away from getting involved in the main event picture.

But does that even seem feasible now? Miz versus Finn Balor? Or Roman Reigns? Or Braun Strowman? Miz lost to Dean Ambrose in his Raw debut, and he should expect to continue losing for the foreseeable future. It was a nice run while it lasted.

Winner: The Revival

2 of 5

Watching The Revival wrestle is like eating a Peter Luger's steak after eating nothing but Sizzler's for a year.

These guys are just so much fun to watch, and they fight like a team, not like two singles wrestlers who were thrown in a ring together. They tag in and out multiple times. They cut the ring off to isolate their opponent. They aren't above pulling dirty tricks, like that beautiful false tag to distract the referee. And they have an old-school, heavy-hitting Southern style that's light on theatrics but heavy on realism.

If WWE gets behind them—the pair could probably use a manager to help them cut promos—then the sky is the limit for Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson.

Winner: Nia Jax

3 of 5

Assuming that Nia Jax is staying on Raw, she's been booked in the strongest possible way. First, she beat Charlotte Flair cleanly in a one-on-one. Then, later in the evening, she cleared the ring and pulverized Bayley with a Samoan drop.

It would be a welcome, fresh change if Nia Jax became Raw women's champion. She's the monster of the division, and she's earned the opportunity by making enormous strides since her main roster debut.

Winner: Braun Strowman

4 of 5

Braun Strowman put a beatdown on Roman Reigns, and it will go down as one of the greatest beatdowns in WWE history. He manhandled Reigns for what seemed like forever—just when you thought he was done, he came storming back into the frame. He ended the beatdown by flipping over an entire ambulance. It was an inhuman, impressive feat of strength, like something out of a monster movie.

Braun's been looking to make a name for himself. And last night's beatdown was of proper, epic proportions. Wherever he ends up after the Shakedown, he's going to be competing for—and winning—a world title by the end of the year.

Loser: Bray Wyatt

5 of 5

Poor, poor Bray Wyatt. He's 0-3 at WrestleMania. And now, he's been drafted to Raw, where he will be fighting the Demon King, Finn Balor. It may be an entertaining feud. But there is no way that Balor is going to lose this war.

Looking ahead, this is probably what WWE Creative envisions happening: Wyatt wins the title back from Randy Orton at Payback. Finn Balor beats Wyatt to become the WWE World Heavyweight champion. And when Lesnar finally returns, he'll fight the #1 contender on SmackDown.

Wyatt is never going to be the guy. He's going to be a transitional champion, at best.
