UNC Parade 2017: Location, Date, Time, Live Stream and More
After defeating the Gonzaga Bulldogs 71-65 in the 2017 NCAA tournament's title game Monday night at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, the North Carolina Tar Heels will have a chance to celebrate their sixth national championship.
The school announced the victory celebration will take place Tuesday at the Smith Center.
While North Carolina is used to championships by now—this is the third under head coach Roy Williams, with wins in 2005 and 2009—this is the first for the current cast, and the players will likely not be shy about enjoying their success.

Tournament Recap
Even after losing to the Duke Blue Devils in the semifinals of the ACC tournament, expectations were high for the Tar Heels. Per OddsShark, they were tied with their Tobacco Road rival for the best odds of winning the national championship entering March Madness at 6-1.
Aside from the first-round matchup against the Texas Southern Tigers, the run was difficult for UNC, with the Arkansas Razorbacks and Butler Bulldogs providing tough challenges in the second and third rounds, respectively, before the Tar Heels were able to pull away.
Only a few plays made the difference in the next two games. Luke Maye's clutch shot sent the Tar Heels to the Final Four with a 75-73 win over the Kentucky Wildcats, and then a pair of offensive rebounds helped secure the 77-76 win over the Oregon Ducks in the semifinals.
Despite all of these challenges, North Carolina found a way to reach the national title game for the second year in a row. After losing to the Villanova Wildcats on a buzzer-beater by Kris Jenkins in the 2016 tourney, however, the team came through in the final moments this time around.
ESPN Stats & Info noted the rarity of this accomplishment:
It wasn't the prettiest game, with 44 total fouls called and poor shooting from both sides. The Tar Heels finished shooting 35.6 percent from the field and 4-of-27 from three-point range. They were 15-of-26 from the free-throw line.
Joel Berry II was named Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four after scoring 22 points with six assists in the championship game. He had 20 points in the finals last season, making him the first to have at least 20 in back-to-back finals since Bill Walton in 1973, per ESPN.
There was plenty of celebration from the players on the court right after the game:
Even more action took place in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, via Henry Gargan of the News and Observer:
Hopefully, everyone left some energy for the official celebration.
After the team's run over the past few weeks and the disappointment from last year, the players deserve all the honors coming to them.
