Kylian Mbappe Fuels Real Madrid Transfer Rumours Amid Monaco Exit Talk
AS Monaco sensation Kylian Mbappe admitted "anything is possible" when he was quizzed about a potential move to Real Madrid this summer.
Mbappe has burst onto the scene in sensational style in Ligue 1 and the UEFA Champions League this season, helping Monaco pursue what'd be an unlikely domestic and European double. It's been reported that his incredible form has attracted the interest of Madrid, and the question was put to him on Tuesday.
"Today, I am at Monaco. Real Madrid? We will see after," the 18-year-old told reporters, per Goal. "You should go to Real Madrid when you are at the top of your game. I'm not at the top of my game. But anything is possible."

The teenage striker was speaking after his first senior start for France on Tuesday in a 2-0 defeat to Spain.
As noted in the report, as well as Los Blancos, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea have been tipped as potential suitors for Mbappe. Barcelona are also said to be tracking his development, per Sport.

It's difficult not to get excited when watching the Monaco youngster, as he possesses all the hallmarks of a world-class player in the making. Perhaps most impressively of all is his composure in front of goal, something OptaJean broke down here:
To be so ruthless and so decisive at such a young age is a rare gift in football, which is why there have been comparisons between Mbappe and some of the greats of this generation. It's also why a club like Madrid may look to snap him up as soon as possible.
After all, there's more to Mbappe's game than calm finishing. The Monaco man has a breathtaking turn of pace, is technically proficient and is relentless in the way he seeks to commit opposition defenders. They’re the kind of traits Madrid have traditionally looked for in their attacking players, with Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale prime examples.
The European champions have had Mbappe on their radar before, too, it seems. Manager Zinedine Zidane confirmed as much earlier in the campaign, per Dermot Corrigan of ESPN FC:
While Mbappe admitted "anything can happen" in football, he also acknowledged that moving to a club like Los Blancos is a big challenge.
Plenty of neutrals would love to see him stay at Monaco. He's a regular in a team that's top of Ligue 1, in the hunt for the Champions League and is part of the most exciting attack in European football at the moment. Remaining in such a position can only be good for his development.

As football journalist Philippe Auclair noted last month, if Monaco can keep their star men together, they'll have some side:
Yet, as is evident by Mbappe's words, Madrid will always have a gravitas, especially for attacking players. It's rare they will come calling and a player, any player, would reject their advances.
Mbappe looks as though he'll have a big decision to make this summer, as the elite clubs in the game will try to move quickly to secure this rising star. But you sense another year with the principality club refining his game would be of major benefit to Mbappe and put him in a more secure position ahead of an inevitable move to a juggernaut of European football.
