Arthur Jones Released by Indianapolis Colts After 3 Seasons
On Friday, the Indianapolis Colts announced they released defensive lineman Arthur Jones after three seasons with the team.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media noted Jones was set to have a $7.35 million cap hit for the 2017 season.
The Baltimore Ravens drafted Jones in 2010, and he played there through the 2013 season. He tallied a sack in Baltimore's Super Bowl XLVII victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Colts signed him in 2014, and Jones missed the 2015 season with an ankle injury. While he started all eight games he played in 2016, he struggled to be the same statistical force in Indianapolis as he was in Baltimore:
| 2011 | Baltimore Ravens | 14 | 20 | 0.0 |
| 2012 | Baltimore Ravens | 16 | 47 | 4.5 |
| 2013 | Baltimore Ravens | 14 | 53 | 4.0 |
| 2014 | Indianapolis Colts | 9 | 23 | 1.5 |
| 2016 | Indianapolis Colts | 8 | 30 | 0.0 |
Jones' prime may be in the rearview mirror, but he is still just 30 years old and boasts nine playoff games on his resume. He can provide veteran leadership to a new team if and when he is signed this offseason.
