Real Madrid Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois
Real Madrid are reportedly planning summer moves for Chelsea duo Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois.
According to Sid Lowe in the Guardian, Los Blancos are eager to make their next Galactico signing—not least as it is an election year for president Florentino Perez—and Hazard has been identified as a key target, with Real convinced they can fit him into the side alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.
Lowe added that Real believe the Belgian "would welcome a move," while the 26-year-old could be the ideal successor to Ronaldo, 32.

Per Squawka, Hazard has returned to his best form this season under manager Antonio Conte after enduring a rotten 2015-16 campaign:
He is arguably the most devastating attacker in the Premier League and has all the assets to thrive as a Real player and ease the inevitable decline in Ronaldo's contribution.
Per Lowe, Los Blancos manager Zinedine Zidane has long been an admirer of Hazard's, who fits the profile of a Real superstar.
As noted by Marca, election years at the Santiago Bernabeu have historically prompted big-money signings:
And Real will have to splash the cash if they are to snap up Hazard, as he is arguably Chelsea's best player and still has more than three years to run on his deal at Stamford Bridge—Neil Fissler of the Express reported the Belgian's asking price to be £80 million at the end of last season.
The west London club will also be reluctant to let No. 1 goalkeeper Courtois leave.
But Real are reportedly set to pursue the Belgium international as a replacement for Keylor Navas, having moved on from previous target David De Gea.
The Spanish giants "believe he would welcome a return to the city where he played for three years and that the fact that he was at their rivals Atletico does not matter," per Lowe.
The former KRC Genk stopper has previously said he is happy at Chelsea:
Like Hazard, Courtois, 24, has returned to his best form this season after a substandard 2015-16 campaign and is on track to win his second Premier League title with the Blues.
Real's interest in Courtois is unsurprising, as he is one of the best goalkeeping talents in Europe and could feasibly be their No. 1 for the next decade or more.
However, the same is true for Chelsea, so Real will have to be prepared to make a huge outlay if they are to sign both Courtois and Hazard this summer.
