Manchester City Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Fabinho and Kingsley Coman
Manchester City target Fabinho reportedly has a "gentleman's agreement" that will allow him to leave AS Monaco this summer if he so chooses.
According to French outlet L'Equipe (h/t Get French Football News), the Brazilian made the agreement with Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev and almost left the Ligue 1 side last summer, while City "remain in the hunt" for his services.
The Sky Blues are in need of reinforcements in midfield and at full-back this summer and the 23-year-old could help on either front.

Fabinho has spent much of his Monaco career at right-back, but after covering impressively as a holding midfielder, he has transitioned into a new role this season and ostensibly plays alongside Tiemoue Bakayoko in the centre of the park.
Sports writer Nooruddean Choudry believes the former to be the more impressive of the two, while the Telegraph's James Ducker was among many to reveal his admiration for the player during Monaco's UEFA Champions League clash with City:
The Brazil international is a versatile and intelligent operator, both technically adept and a good ball-winner, allowing him to contribute defensively and going forward.
Here's a look at his Ligue 1 numbers this season, courtesy of Squawka:
| Apps | 28 |
| Goals | 7 |

As Squawka Football also demonstrated, Fabinho is an expert from the penalty spot as well:
He'd make an outstanding buy for City, and his versatility ensures he can help in either of the squad's problem areas.
Fabinho is unlikely to come cheap, but it appears the club won't stand in the way of him moving on.
Meanwhile, L'Equipe (h/t Get French Football News) also reported Kingsley Coman is hoping to make his stay at Bayern Munich permanent, but City have approached the Bundesliga giants and indicated "they are willing to pay €50 million" (£43.1 million) for his services.

Bayern have the option to buy him for €21 million (£18.1 million) this summer from Juventus at the conclusion of his two-year loan deal with the club.
Coman is an excellent prospect, though injuries have restricted him to just 631 minutes on the pitch this season.
Bayern could sell the 20-year-old to City for a healthy profit after activating their option to buy him, though that is said to be "highly unlikely."
As good as Coman is and has the potential to be, given City already have Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling impressing in wide positions this season, it won't be a disaster if they miss out on him this summer.
